Today, kids all over the world hope and dream to DJ and produce music.
Music, however, chose Marci.
It was 1989 when Miami Bass Electro pioneers Pretty Tony and Trinere had a son named Brandon Christopher, also known as Miami Marci.
Pretty Tony was cutting hits like "It's Automatic" and "Fix It In The Mix," with Trinere in that same room laying classics like "All Night" and "I'll Be All You Ever Need."
And there sat 7-week-old Marci.
The world first caught wind of Marci and his live performance at Trap Paradise; a historic electronic music event series thrown during Art Basel by Marci and a small team of cool creatives that literally impacted Miami's ritz-only culture by fusing the high-end tastemaker's cultural appeal, with the grit and reality of real Trap music. Aficionados like Travis Scott, Pharrell Williams, and Virgil Abloh became believers.
But he isn't just DJing parties. Marci can control a Top 40 club with a natural born skill, without question. The thing that sets this one apart from the rest is the fact that he's an incredible producer. From Miami Bass to Electro House, even R&B; there's literally no bounds to the music he creates. Never knowing what to expect when you hear the name, Marci prides himself on intense sets and wild sounds full of mad energy and wild music.
After recording FAVELA DECO 3 in Rio de Janeiro while appearing on FM O Dia and Cash Box Radio Brazil, he brings authentic Miami Bass heritage to contemporary Brazilian funk, Afro House, and electronic sets.
Born into Miami's electronic music royalty, Miami Marci bridges generational sound - from his parents' genre-defining work in the 1980s to today's global fusion of Miami Bass and Brazilian favela funk.
In the end, Marci knows what he was put here to do, and it doesn't look like he'll be stopping anytime soon.
